Felsenthal Forum Attracts Great Crowd
The Felsenthal Forum, held on July 23, 2015 in Felsenthal, attracted over 25 participants who discussed the history and heritage of the Union County communities of Felsenthal, Huttig, and historic Lapile. Many of the participants brought scrapbooks, pictures, and old newspapers to share with the crowd. A great program and one that will lead to a better understanding about the history of Union County. Our thanks to Judge Loftin (Union County government) for the use of the Recreation Center, to Charlotte Baine for the loan of a PA system, to Teresa Botner for her help with the management of the program and to the staff of the Grand Marais campground for their assistance. Join us for our future programs.
Images of Felsenthal newspapers (front pages) and a oil portrait of Ike Felsenthal were displayed as part of the program.
